REDKEN Hair Director Phillip Barwick created a dazzling hair directive for the SWAROVSKI show on Day 2 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 2016. The gleaming ponytail was inspired by the brand's crystal galaxy. Phillip Barwick's glamorous ponytail created for the SWAROVSKI show was inspired by the brand's opulent, multi-faceted crystals used by REDKEN FOR MEN stand tough extreme gel in which provided a sharp definition.
Create The Look
1. Apply the Pillow Proof Express Blow Dry Primer to clean, dry hair and directionally blow dry the hair towards the crown.
2. At the crown pull out a tennis ball size section and apply RFM Stand Tough Extreme Gel to the root area, with a tail comb direct at the hair to the crown and tie off with an elastic to form a small pony tail. This will serve as an anchor point for the remainder of the hair as you continue applying gel and slicking tightly.
3. Tie off the final pony tail then take a small ribbon of hair and wind it around the elastic at the base. Apply Forceful 23 Super Strength Hairspray and blow dry to secure for lasting hold.
4. Flat iron the pony tail and spray with Forceful 23 Super Strength Hairspray, Apply glitter and heat set with a diffuser. Continue applying glitter and heat setting until the desired effect is achieved.
